Product feeds for Instagram and Facebook stores
Product feeds are an excellent way to connect your Shopify or Lightspeed webshop to Instagram and Facebook stores. This feature allows you to showcase your products directly on social media and increase your brand’s reach.
Lightspeed C-Series: Settings > Feeds
(https://www.facebook.com/business/tools/meta-business-suite) broadcasts your product feed to your Facebook business page and Instagram.
The integration allows you to present your products seamlessly on these two meta platforms in different ways.
The settings are sometimes a little difficult to find and the import is not quite so easy, so there are some apps in Shopify on this topic or a simpler integration with Lightspeed E-Series (new store version of Lightspeed).
Feeds for Google & Facebook
The feeds can also be used to access some other marketplaces as well as the Google Merchant Center.
Your webshop becomes the central point of contact for the products in the marketplaces. For more complex advertising options & a comprehensive selection of industry-specific marketplaces, there is the tool Channable.
As mentioned, Lightspeed E-Series already has a more intuitive integration for social media such as Facebook, Insta and Tik-Tok.
As a “headless” store system, it also offers the option of integrating the store into various platforms. This makes you less dependent on a single store. Meta Business Manager details: Direct link to product detail pages in the Business Manager
The created product views & collections on Insta and Facebook open the product detail pages in your webshop directly at the click of a mouse. This creates a seamless user experience for your customers and helps to maximize sales.
In addition to product feed integration, the Business Manager offers other powerful functions such as product collections, discounts, multilingualism and numerous integrated advertising and presentation options. These functions enable you to present your products in the best possible way and expand your target group in social media.

Manual storage of products
It would also be possible to store products manually in the Manager for visualization in Meta. Of course, this is not as practical as using a feed that is automatically and regularly updated from the product data in the web store.
Prepare complete product information in the store
Make sure that your product information in the webshop is complete in order to be accepted by the Business Manager. No essential product description may be missing.
Shopify product feeds via apps and JSON integration
Shopify offers the option of generating product feeds using apps for various platforms. Alternatively, you can also use the URL https://shopdomain/products.json to create and update an automatic product feed. However, the format does not always fit and is not suitable for every platform.
